Conditions - Stretch Marks & Scars

Stretch marks are a form of scarring on the skin with an off-color hue. They are often the result of the rapid stretching of the skin associated with rapid growth or weight gain. (e.g. pregnancy, muscle building, or rapid gain of fat)

Scars are areas of fibrous tissue that replace normal skin after injury. A scar results from the biologic process of wound repair in the skin and other tissues of the body. Scar tissues are often thicker and darker than the rest of the skin.
