- In a controlled 14-day trial, 27 subjects suffering from dry, cracked heels applied Flexitol® Heel Balm with 25% Urea twice daily.

Study conducted by the Australian Photobiology Testing Facility (APTF) at the University of Sydney, Australia in 2007.
- In a double-blind comparative study, 30 outpatients with evidence of bilateral anhydrosis applied a 10% Urea cream to the right foot and a 25% Urea cream (Flexitol Heel Balm) to the left foot, once daily.
- Results indicate that the 25% Urea cream increased skin hydration levels significantly more than the 10% Urea cream.
