Lip Balm

REQUEST SAMPLES
  • Over a four-day period, 20 patients suffering from cheiltis (10 of whom had isotretinoin-induced cheiltis) applied the Flexitol® Lip Balm formula to the lips.
  • Patients assessed the product’s effectiveness on dry, flaking, and chapped lips on a 7-point scale (1: no effect and 7: great improvement).
  • 100% of participants reported improvement with respect to dryness, flaking, and chapping, with 50% observing great improvement
The Lip Balm patient evaluation program led by specialist dermatological nurses study was conducted by LaCorium Health International Pty in 2013.  Full study results available on request.

Efficacy

The Flexitol® Lip Balm formula:

  • Is clinically proven to be effective for treating and relieving isotretinoin-induced cheilitis.
  • Is an efficient formula, consisting almost entirely of either barrier ingredients (60%) or emollient ingredients (30%).
  • Contains the keratolytic agent urea at 2.5% to help soften skin and replenish moisture levels.
  • Cortisone-free, so that it won’t contribute to atrophy of the already thin skin of the lips.
